As we prepare to open the doors to our new Workplace Creations Reigate office, weβre finding ways to make the local community part of the space too.
We welcomed Sixth Form Art and DT students from Reigate Grammar School for the first workshop in a creative collaboration that will eventually become a permanent feature of our new workplace.
Working alongside mural artist Ollie Cooper and members of the Workplace Creations team, the students explored the new office, learnt more about workplace design and creative careers, and began developing ideas for a mural that will take pride of place in the space.
The collaboration is about more than creating something for the walls. Having been part of Reigate for some time, our new office gives us an opportunity to strengthen our connections with the local community, open our doors and give young people an insight into the different careers and opportunities across the workplace design and construction industry.
This first workshop was just the starting point. Over the coming weeks, the studentsβ ideas will continue to develop as the mural begins to take shape, ahead of its reveal as part of our new Reigate office launch.
Reigate Grammar School Foundation has shared more from the first workshop, including the studentsβ experience and the thinking behind the collaboration.
