Our induction process is designed to help you settle in quickly. You'll meet the team, learn about our projects and processes and be paired with a buddy who will support you. We want to make sure you have everything you need to feel confident and ready to contribute from day one.
Do you support flexible or hybrid working?
Yes, we do. We operate a hybrid model, with a minimum of three days in one of our collaborative office hubs and the flexibility to work from home for focused tasks. We believe in finding a balance that works for our team and our projects.

Workplace Academy provides an inspiring platform to learn, grow, and lead.
A unique opportunity to gain real-world experience while developing the skills and confidence needed for life after university.
You won't be making tea and sitting in the corner. From day one, you'll be working alongside experienced designers, project managers and specialists - on live projects, with real responsibility.
We believe the best way to learn this industry is to be in it. That's why our Academy programme is built around doing, not just observing. You'll be challenged, supported and stretched - and you'll leave with more than a line on your CV.

FAQ's
How long does the programme last?
Our placements are typically a full year - and sometimes longer. We want you to have enough time to get properly stuck in, not just observe from the sidelines. Students joining us through Nottingham Trent University usually spend between 12 and 14 months with us.
What will I actually be doing?
From day one, you'll be working on live projects alongside our design team - selecting finishes, building mood boards, supporting site photography and helping push real work over the line. You'll be part of the team, with real responsibility from the start.
Which universites do you partner with?
We have an ongoing partnership with Nottingham Trent University that's been running for over ten years - and we're proud of the talent it's brought into our team. We also welcome placement students from other universities on a case-by-case basis, so if you're interested, get in touch regardless of where you're studying.
Is there a route to a permanent role after the placement?
Absolutely - and it happens regularly. Several members of our current design team started out as placement students with us. If you're good and the fit is right, we'll do everything we can to keep you.

Marcus took on the Hackney Half once again, setting a new PB of 01:54:24 while raising more than £550 for Hackney Night Shelter.
Mental Health World Cup 2026
We were back at QPR’s stadium for the Mental Health World Cup, raising over £2,100 for mental health and support charities across the country.
Moonwalk 2026
For the second year running, our team walked 15 miles through London overnight, raising more than £3,700 for breast cancer support and research.
Shortlisted for the Mix Awards 2026
Our project at 11 Strand for Avery Real Estate has been recognised in the 5K–10K sq ft Project of the Year category and we couldn’t be prouder of the team behind it.
