The Challenge
Extending the brand while creating something fresh.
Forvis Mazars wanted their newly acquired 4th floor at Old Bailey to feel like a seamless part of their existing workspace, but with its own identity. The brief was to house more desks while also giving people a reason to choose this floor over the others they occupy in the building. It had to strike the right balance: consistent with the rest of the office, but energised by a new sense of personality and purpose.
Our Approach
Blending consistency with a strong sense of place.
We looked at how the 4th floor could support both function and flow, delivering on the need for workspace while standing out as a destination in its own right. Taking cues from Forvis Mazars’ established look and feel, we introduced layers of warmth and playfulness through materiality, lighting and feature zones. Key to this was a breakout Games Area and a soft, collaborative Garden Room. These spaces offer colleagues a different rhythm to their working day.
The Solution
A welcoming, multifunctional floor with unique moments.
The full fit-out included M&E, feature lighting, bespoke joinery, flooring, partitioning, AV, planting and decoration. Visually, the design mirrors other Forvis Mazars floors with warm woods, tonal palettes and subtle corporate cues. Abstract wallpaper, rich textures and biophilia give this floor its own character. The garden room provides an open, informal zone for conversation and collaboration, while the games area adds a spark of fun and social energy.
The Outcome
A flexible floor that relieves pressure and attracts people.
The new space adds 15,000 sq ft of valuable capacity, easing demand on other floors while enriching the overall employee experience. With varied settings for focused work, meetings and downtime, the 4th floor has quickly become a favourite among staff - proving that consistency and creativity can go hand in hand.
