This CAT B fit-out at Capital Square, Edinburgh reflects the look, feel and culture of Forvis Mazars’ wider portfolio, while giving the space a presence that's entirely its own.

Brief

Wow factor the Forvis Mazars way

The brief was clear: create a space with wow factor, aligned with Forvis Mazars' newer offices in London and Birmingham. Collaborative zones, touchdown spaces and meeting areas took priority, without losing the deskspace the local team needed.

Approach

Creating a flexible foundation

The project began with a clear vision: a workplace that could adapt to evolving business needs. By establishing an open, flexible framework from the outset, we laid the groundwork for a variety of work settings - supporting collaboration, focus and future growth.

Celebrating the building's character

Rather than concealing key building services, we exposed and carefully finished them as part of the design. This gave the workplace a more contemporary feel, adding visual interest while making efficient use of the existing fabric.

Supporting choice and wellbeing

The completed workplace offers a range of settings that support different ways of working through the day. Quiet retreat spaces, collaborative areas and thoughtfully designed amenities create an environment that prioritises wellbeing, productivity and employee experience.

An impressive arrival

The arrival zone and client-facing area set the stage. Mood lighting, bold colour and a considered layout create a focal point that’s designed to impress from the moment you step through the door.

Sliding doors for flexibility

Walls that slide and fold allow meeting rooms to open up or close down, as needed. Giving the Edinburgh team the adaptability to host everything from focused client meetings to larger collaborative sessions.

Let’s do coffee

To bring a relaxed, sociable energy to the heart of the space, we created a coffee bar and left the ceiling exposed. A counterpoint to the more formal client areas, and a natural place for the team to connect throughout the day.

Space to come together

Dedicated collaboration and training areas give the team room to learn, develop and work together. They’re spaces designed for the way Forvis Mazars people actually use their office.

Details

Bold Forvis Mazars brand colours anchor the scheme, and are lifted by complementary tones that bring energy and warmth. It’s consistent with the wider portfolio, but with a presence that feels right at home in Edinburgh.
