From the West End to The Shard

This five-week fit-out relocated our confidential client from 5,000 sqft in the West End to 8,000 ftΒ² on Level 7 of The Shard. We expanded their capacity and improved their positioning without missing a beat.

Brief

More space, better workplace

Our client needed a workplace that could not only accommodate a growing team, but an improved working environment too. They wanted professional client-facing areas, new staff facilities and the kind of address and office accommodation that reflects their global standing in the music industry.

Creating spaces for focus

We designed the workplace to support a range of working styles, with dedicated settings for concentration, collaboration and everything in between. Considered space planning gave people the right environment for every task.

Balancing privacy and openness

We introduced glazed meeting rooms for focused discussions, while keeping a sense of openness across the workplace. This maximised natural light and connectivity, creating a more transparent, engaging environment.

Supporting the employee experience

The completed workplace combines a variety of settings that encourage movement, collaboration and choice through the day. From informal meeting spaces to focused work areas, the design creates a more flexible, people-centred experience.

An iconic setting

Relocating to one of London's most recognisable buildings was a statement in itself. Level 7 at The Shard gives our client a setting that reflects its position at the heart of the global music industry. And the look and feel we created supports this.

A warm welcome

A designated welcome area and client teapoint gives a professional, polished arrival experience for guests and visitors. A step change from the previous office and a fitting front of house for our client.

Staff teapoint and storage

A new staff teapoint and lockers give the team the day-to-day facilities they need. Practical improvements that make a tangible difference to how they experience their working day.

Room to meet and host privately

Four newly created private offices give leadership and senior staff dedicated space to work, meet and host. Expanding the flexibility of their workplace, without compromising the open, collaborative floor around them.

Details

The existing colour palette forms a starting point that we built on. A sustainable approach that kept waste to a minimum while giving our client’s new home at The Shard a fresh and fitting identity.
