Elevating the workplace experience through collaborative, sustainable design, seamlessly delivered within a live, occupied environment.
The Challenge
Refreshing a key London HQ floor to meet global standards.
Following a post-pandemic workplace modernisation programme, our client, a global technology company tasked us with refurbishing part of one of their three floors in their London HQ. The project needed to reflect the client's updated global workplace guidelines, promoting a flowing, collaborative environment with a variety of breakout and meeting settings. With the rest of the building remaining fully operational, and stringent security protocols in place, works had to be delivered within a tightly managed, live environment.
Our Approach
Careful coordination, sustainable thinking and trusted collaboration.
With a longstanding partnership in place since 2012, we leveraged our deep understanding of the client's operational needs and sustainability priorities. Working closely with the client’s project manager, we coordinated logistics with precision including managing shared use of lifts and loading bays to avoid disruption to ongoing business activities. Our approach balanced efficient on-site execution with a firm commitment to environmental responsibility and workplace wellbeing.
The Solution
Repurposed furniture, low-impact materials and seamless integration.
We created a flexible and dynamic workplace aligned with the client’s global design principles. A significant portion of the existing furniture was given a new lease of life, reupholstered, repurposed and relocated within the space. All new items met our client’s strict sustainability criteria. This included specifying suppliers pre-approved as sustainable partners, ensuring all procured items adhered to minimum environmental performance thresholds. Materials used in the build, including recycled-content upholstery and organically-derived cladding, further supported the project’s low-impact design intent.
The Outcome
Sustainable, stylish and delivered on time and on budget.
Despite the complexity of working in an occupied building, the project was completed to programme and within budget. The resulting space is an agile, collaborative workplace that supports productivity and team connection, while delivering meaningfully on the client’s ESG commitments. With 99.96% of construction waste diverted from landfill and energy use reduced through LED lighting, the project sets a benchmark for sustainable refurbishment in live corporate environments.
